ARMBA Networking Luau Wrap-Up

Attention all business owners. If you didn't attend our annual Networking Luau on August 16, it may have cost you $$$$. With over 100 attendees, current members and potential members not only received leads, but conducted business on the spot.

MBA Members Linda White and Carolyn Beard from Sisters In Craft said,

"MBA's Luau at the Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant was an awesome event! Again our business is growing due to MBA and the success it brings to its members. We are so excited about the new corporate clients we are receiving for the holiday season. One order on the spot that night generated an order for 30 baskets. Our business continues to take us to even higher heights, as a Certified Minority & Woman Owned business we received a hot lead in the direction of government contracts at the Manayunk event too!"

It was great to see members and soon-to-be members networking and conducting business with our vendors in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.

Glenn Romano of Glenn C. Romano, P.C. said,

"I attended the MBA Luau and was very impressed with the turn out. August is a particularly difficult month to have networking events due to the vacation season. I have been considering joining MBA and the quality of people that I met at the Luau convinced me that I had to become a member."

Brett Mandel, Executive Director of Philadelphia Forward spoke on a very important topic for the area - tax reform in Philadelphia. 2007 Miss Pennsylvania Rachel Brooks of Broomall, PA was a most gracious addition to the evening's festivities.

Remember, members can volunteer to host an upcoming networking event just as Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant did, to highlight their business to potential customers. Our thanks to the restaurant.

MBA would like to thank the sponsors of this event, Sun East Federal Credit Union and Manayunk Brewery & Restaurant for their support of the alliance and its members.

Aloha.
